Mark Diamond, based in Boston, USA, brings more than 30 years of advisory, government and industry experience in air transportation, with a focus on strategy and business planning to S.A.S.I. His work covers both air cargo and passenger operations.
Formerly leader of air cargo advisory activities at the global management advisory firm ICF, Mark spearheaded a advisory alliance with SASI in 2016. He has directed numerous air cargo advisory projects, including a business plan for the cargo handling division of a major Gulf hub airline, a freighter fleet plan for a Middle East flag carrier and market assessments for several freighter aircraft manufacturers.
Mark has prepared cargo service development strategies for four major hub airports in North America. He has also led market studies, master plan "future-proofing" exercises and forecasts in support of cargo infrastructure development at airports in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North America and Latin America.
Mark also has worked extensively with passenger airlines worldwide as well as service providers (including MRO's), financial institutions and governments. His services include overall strategic planning, network and fleet planning, alliance and acquisition strategy, operations improvement, restructuring, due diligence and privatization support.
Prior to joining ICF's aviation practice (formerly known as SH&E) in 1997, Mark held positions with Mercer Management (now Oliver Wyman), the aviation advisory Kurth & Company, the FAA and American Airlines. He holds MBA and BA degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and an MPP from Harvard University. He is fluent in both English and French.
